OUR TEAM
Lucy has nearly 20 years’ experience working for drama producers with some film and comedy producers along the way. Her final in-house role before setting up Scripted was as FremantleMedia’s Scripted Head of Legal and Business Affairs where she looked after the UK scripted labels and worked closely with the global drama team. Previous employers include Touchpaper, Ecosse Films, Granada (now ITV Studios) and Richards Butler (now Reed Smith).
Lucy works across developments, productions and production financing. Her clients include ITV Studios, Carnival, Wall To Wall, Heyday Television, Objective Fiction, Euston Films, Seven Seas Films, Working Title Television and Universal International Studios.
LUCY BATCUP
Karen worked in-house for scripted comedy producers Objective Fiction (All3Media) and Retort (FremantleMedia) before joining Scripted in 2019. Previously she worked at Sky for 10 years in various legal and business affairs roles in entertainment and sport, and prior to that at Freshfields where she completed her training.
Karen works across developments and productions. Her clients include Quay Street Productions, Carnival, Big Talk, Eagle Eye Drama, Objective Fiction, Working Title Television, and Untold Studios.
KAREN BARING
Philip worked in the music industry for 20 years at various independent record labels and publishers before co-founding Scripted with Lucy. Philip takes care of the business and operations side of Scripted.
Philip also provides music consultancy services (including looking after music clearances) for our producer clients.
